Unless you’re a public authority or performing large scale
monitoring of individuals or carrying out wide processing of
certain specific categories of data, you won’t need a specific “Data
Protection Officer”. (More info here at www.ico.org.uk).
On the other hand as we pointed out in STEP 1, appointing a Specific
Point of Contact or someone in charge is highly recommended as it
makes the whole process a lot more manageable.
