Introduction to the GDPR
The new General Data Protection Regulation is implemented to strengthen the existing rules on Data
Protection within the EU that were first implemented over 20 years ago. Even with Brexit, it’s widely
believed that any of the provisions set out by the regulation will NOT be made any more lax. In short,
business owners need to be aware of it and implement any necessary processes within their business
(including how they handle their CCTV recordings) or risk a significant fine.
