It’s really good practice to have a specific point of contact (SPOC)
in charge of your CCTV recordings anyway so you can prevent
unauthorised access and tampering with your security system.
Why not follow in the footsteps of some of the larger public
organisations and appoint your very own “MR SPOC” or specific
point of contact who can review your processes and policies on a
regular basis.
Typical role responsibilities might include:
• Key holder to the CCTV equipment room, cupboard
or enclosure.
• Registering with the ICO.org.uk annually.
• Keeping CCTV Log Books up to date such as those in the
DPA100 Compliance Kit on pg. 5.
• Training new staff on using the CCTV system.
