Q
GDPR - What Does It Mean For You?
05Step
Subject Access Requests
the Information Commissioner’s Office says…
You should update your procedures and plan how you will
handle requests within the new timescales and provide any
additional information.
in other words…
The easiest way to comply here is using the information already
included in the DPA100 CCTV Code of Compliance pack. It includes
a disk with easy to print forms that can be handed over when a
member of the public approaches you for a copy of CCTV footage
that they believe includes them. The new legislation is stricter and
in most cases you won’t be able to charge them anymore, it has also
shortened the period you have to comply with the request down
to 30 days from 40.
