Easy-IP-Scanner is a free tool for CCTV engineers to scan a network looking for devices identifying IP addresses that are already taken so that a new device can be added without causing an IP address conflict.

This software uses TCP/IP so devices should be on the same network range as the PC, its high "ping" performance means that a subnet of typically 254 devices can be scanned in about 5 seconds.

A new feature added during the summer of 2025 is the ability to "Look for New Devices". After performing a preliminary scan, you can plug in a new device such as an NVR, DVR or IP camera and it will appear in a separate popup window.

Also new for 2025 is the ability to specify ping or ARP methods.

This FREE tool can identify most manufactuers associated with a MAC address and can highlight "System Q" products like Zip branded NVRs, DVRs and IP cameras.
